Feats of St John Marie Vianney....

Over the last many years the image of the Priest has taken a beating, with the sex scandal in the US and the corruption scandal in many part of our own city and Country.

Last year accidently I was given a letter which was written by a group of so called “Concern Citizens” criticizing the priest for many wrong decisions that we have taken or favouring their own men for the some work in the church...

While there are many ifs and buts, it better not to dig into such matters. In a few days from now we celebrate the Feast of St John Marie Vianney and following his example, do something that he did best. PRAY...

Pls Pray for your Priest..we need your prayers to do thing in a manner that is RIGHT and JUST in the sight of God.

Well Padre although I am against corruption but I am not with Hazare because:-

Hazare has been involved in promoting sterilization (vasectomy) as a population control program. Obviously this action goes against the pro life teachings of the Catholic Church, especially of the Natural Family Planning guidelines.

As you are aware that the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, in paragraph no. 2399, that while regulation of births is an aspect of responsible parenthood, “Legitimate intentions on the part of the spouses do not justify recourse to morally unacceptable means (for example, direct sterilization or contraception).

Hazare has demanded the death penalty for the corrupt, which again goes against the teachings of the Catholic Church because for years the Church has been preaching against death penalty.

Hazare's threat to commit suicide out of frustration is also against Church teaching and the law of the land.

Last but not the least he has an anarchical attitude toward the govt.

It is not fundamentalist to stand by what the Church teaches although at times it can be uncomfortable.

For example the Vatican has urged not to distribute Communion to pro choice leaders nd those who support gay marriages.

Hello, I want to make clear what the Bible says about politics:

John 6:15:- "Therefore Jesus, knowing they were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone."

John 18:36:- "Jesus answered: "My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as
it is, my kingdom is not from
this source.""

John 17:16:- "They are no
part of the world, just as I am
no part of the world."

1 John 5:19:- "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."

Hence, Jesus did not involve himself in politics, & he wanted his followers to stay away from it too.

The simple reason is that Christians await God's Kingdom from heaven, which we also pray about:
Matthew 6:9, 10:- "YOU must pray, then, this way: "Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.""
